After School Program

After School Program

Karuna Care International runs after school program for the children from street, beggars and slum dwellers. It rescues as well as convinces their parents (those who have parents) to send them to school. KCI provides school materials, uniforms, lunch box and a meal etc. to the children. After the school children come at the KCI center and it provides tuition and help in their home works. In the evening, it provides a meal and the children go back to their parents in the slums.

Karuna Care has been able to send the children of the Balkhu Slum in the school after a long effort. They were rescued from the street while begging. Now after the nationwide lockdown in the time of pandemic, schools are closed and they have started to beg in the street again. This has happened because the parents are unable to work and go out of their village.

Karuna Care will have 60 children of this particular slum community and with applying all the safety measures, it will engage with the education for at least 3 hours in a day with extra curricula activities. This program helps the children to be engaged during the day time and avoid from begging again in the street and they will be prepared for school again. It will also protect children from taken away.
